December Playlist

(English) Wouldn't it be fun if life would be like a christmas movie? So you'd just know you'll live happily ever after. And your whole ridiculously huge family would prep a meal for the perfect christmas dinner. The (also ridiculously huge) house would be decorated beautifully, including a ten feet tall christmas tree. And it would al-ways snow. And during every beautiful, romantic or touching moment, there would play a perfect song on the background.  Wouldn't that be fun?

I can't just magically make things happen. I can't make it snow forever. Or buy a ridiculously huge decorated house. But there are other things I can do. I can get a pretty (slightly less tall) christmas tree. And decorate my house. Invite my family over for a christmas dinner. And make a playlist. Full of songs for beautiful, romantic and touching moments. Do you listen along?

(Nederlands) Zou het niet leuk zijn als het leven een kerstfilm zou zijn? Dat je gewoon al weet dat alles goed zal komen. Dat je hele (belachelijk grote) familie iets maakt voor op de kersttafel. En je hele (ook belachelijk grote) huis is versierd, inclusief een kerstboom van minstens drie meter. En het al-tijd sneeuwt. En op elk mooi/romantisch/schattig moment er een prachtig liedje klinkt op de achtergrond. Zou dat niet leuk zijn?

Sommige dingen kan ik natuurlijk niet toveren. Ik kan het niet eeuwig laten sneeuwen. Of een belachelijk groot versierd huis kopen. Maar andere dingen kunnen wel. Ik kan wel een mooie (zij het een iets minder grote) kerstboom halen. En het huis versieren. Mijn familie uitnodigen voor een kerstdiner. En een afspeellijst maken. Vol liedjes voor mooie, romantische en schattige momenten. Luister je mee?
